You might need to fast and have stretchy pants ready for this one. Zac Young, the executive pastry chef for the David Burke Group, has unveiled a whopper of a holiday dessert: the Pie-Log-En. The three layer, yule-log-inspired dessert is composed of toffee pecan pie, eggnog cheesecake, and chocolate caramel yule log, layered together with chocolate buttercream frosting.

Tasting Table hosted its Open Market Chicago event at Revel Fulton Market last Saturday. The event had a festive photo booth that featured a wall of gold, silver, and copper holiday ornaments, counterbalanced by a variety of colorful ornaments. Guests posed with holiday-theme props and were able to print branded photos and receive digital versions through text and email.

Target Wonderland, a 16,000-square-foot pop-up shop in New York’s meatpacking district, turns toys, homewares, and other goods from the retailer into holiday decor. In one example, a Christmas tree is made of 320 Hulk hands. The store runs through December 22.

The Washington bar Mockingbird Hill has temporarily changed its concept to become the holiday-theme Miracle on Seventh Street through December 24. The venue redecorated with kitschy Christmas decor and included a “Hanukkah Hangout” complete with a dreidel chandelier. Along with a list of holiday cocktails named after holiday references in pop culture, the bar is offering activities such as Christmas classic movie nights and Manischewitz Pong competitions.

The 2015 Miami Art Week took place December 1 to 6. The art collective Dawn of Man created digital projections at Mondrian South Beach, presenting them on unusual surfaces such as the hotel's pool after it had been covered in ping-pong balls. A number of different images were on display during the Objekt Magazine & Ruinart Party December 3.

Infiniti revealed its all-new luxury crossover with drones at a nondescript downtown Los Angeles warehouse on November 17. Drones inside each block removed the pieces one by one, surprising guests and getting the crowd buzzing.

Part of a wider campaign inspired by the Rolling Stones 1972 tour, Air Hollywood built a lounge from repurposed aircraft parts at JF.K. International Airport in New York as an homage to the Rolling Stones' touring plane. Holiday travelers can sample the special edition tequila at the pop-up event until December 30.

Engage15, a conference for the luxury-wedding industry, took place at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World from November 18 to 20. The event had a fairytale theme, which included decor like Alice in Wonderland's Cheshire cat rendered in flowers. Raining Roses handled decor.

During breaks, guests were treated to inventive snacks. During a "Lemonade Break," a cart doled out lemon sorbet, key lime gelato, citrus-cheese popovers, Meyer-lemon mascarpone in savory cones, and marinated strawberries.

Groupon partnered with Operation Warm, which provides new winter coats for low-income children, to host a charitable holiday event on November 8 at Venue One in Chicago. New coats were separated into sections for boys and girls and were displayed in a pop-up shop on site. The coats were given away to the families.
