Delmonico’s 151st Anniversary Ladies’ Power Lunch

Downtown New York institution Delmonico's celebrated the 151st anniversary of becoming the first U.S. restaurant to serve women independently of men with a ladies’ luncheon on April 12. The venue’s pillars and interior displayed printed graphics of Phoebe New York Rebels, which were created by street artist Libby Schoettle. The event served a meal by Boston-based chef Lydia Shire.

Brooklyn Artists Ball

Brooklyn Museum’s annual fund-raising gala took place April 16. The event, which was designed by David Stark Design and Production, featured a Frida Kahlo theme, inspired by the museum’s new exhibition “Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving.” The ceiling of the museum’s Beaux-Arts Court featured a cascade of colorful “papel picado” decorations. The event drew more than 1,200 guests and raised more than $1.9 million for the museum’s exhibition and education programs.

Pink Tie Party

The National Cherry Blossom Festival’s annual Pink Tie Party took place March 22 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington. Servers wearing floral dresses and headpieces served guests drinks from wine glasses that hung from “trees” attached to tricycles. Artechouse ‘In Peak Bloom’ Exhibition

Artechouse, a Washington-based company and event space that specializes in interactive digital art experiences, opened its latest seasonal exhibition, “In Peak Bloom,” on March 20. Running through May 27, the exhibition celebrates spring and women in the arts and tech, with five immersive installations created by women artists and women-led art collectives. Sakaba is an augmented-reality cocktail bar created in house by Artechouse. Using an app, guests who hold their phone up to drink coasters can witness cherry blossoms and dragons come to life and interact with their cocktail. Drink Company’s Cherry Blossom PUB

Drink Company’s third annual cherry blossom-theme pop-up bar in Washington is open through April 21 at 1839 7th St., N.W. This year, the bar’s special projects team, Matt Fox and Adriana Salame-Aspiazu, took inspiration from the Fontaine de L’Encelade at the Palace of Versailles in France. The space features more than 10,000 Japanese cherry blossoms, peonies, and roses that cover the ceiling, walls, and wooden trellises. Finance-theme pop-up Stacks House opened in Los Angeles’ Arts District on Wednesday. The pop-up experience was conceptualized by She Stacks, a company that aims to promote financial independence and close the gap between women and wealth through products, content, and experiences. Produced by Advoc8, the pop-up features money-theme activations including a colorful infinity room that lets visitors see into their financial futures. Joffrey Ballet's 17th annual gala, which the company renamed, took place April 12 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Labeled "UNcorked," the main level of the Lyric Opera offered dining areas, a dance floor, and circular bars from HMR Designs, decked with ornate candelabras.
