This week, a five-day program will transform Rockefeller Plaza into “Humanity Plaza,” a project set up by NBC, Habitat for Humanity International, and Warner Music Group to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. Jack Morton Worldwide transformed the plaza into a construction site, where thousands of volunteers will build at least 100 homes for victims—to be moved to locations around the Gulf Coast—as well as a destination for visitors to learn about ways to help. Today will broadcast the progress of the building, and Jack Morton’s environmental design group is donating its services—designing the site layout, signage, and other graphic elements, as well as working on the homes themselves.
