It's Super Tuesday—Let the Viewing Parties Begin

Eyes will be glued to televisions all over D.C. tonight, in anticipation of the Super Tuesday primary results rolling in. Politico has a rundown of several parties in the city, for all sizes, shapes, and political parties.

Svedka vodka is camping out at Top of the Hill on Pennsylvania Avenue for a tongue-in-cheek promotional event, while the 1331 Lounge at the JW Marriott Hotel is hoping to attract a crowd with its 11 flat-screen TVs and a contest to name three martinis: red for Republican, blue for Democratic, and white for undecided. (The winner takes home a free lunch for 10.)For those of the Republican persuasion, Bobby Van’s Steakhouse on New York Avenue has invited 150 for a close gathering, while Porter’s Dining Saloon on 19th Street has drink specials for its D.C. Young Republicans’ Super Duper Tuesday party. Meanwhile, Dems are congregating at Buffalo Billiards in Dupont or at Bailey’s Pub & Grille in Arlington, with an event sponsored by Generation Obama. The volunteer group posted the invite on Facebook, according to Politico, advising attendees to “feel free to arrive fashionably late.”
