Coty Canada dressed The Richmond in iconic British decor for its Rimmel London and Rimmel London Underground spring and summer product launch. Event designer Nicholas Pinney of Nicholas Pinney Designs worked with Overcat Communications and the team from Coty to prepare the venue for the event. Decor elements included a pair of long banquet tables covered in fitted white linens from Exclusive Affair Rentals, white Louis Ghost chairs from Contemporary Furniture Rentals, and custom-made acrylic purple, white, and gold Union Jack placemats. Three tote bags filled with Rimmel products sat on each chair. And for the crowning touch: a row of miniature gold-coloured double-decker busses ran down the centre of each table.
A display of Rimmel London and Rimmel London Underground products jazzed up the front of the room. A large poster of a Union Jack, sporting colours similar to the placemats—purple, white, and gold—formed a backdrop for the display. Eatertainment Event Design and Catering served a four-course, British-inspired meal, featuring fish and chips, bangers and mash, and beef Wellington. A presentation by Greg Wencel, a celebrity makeup artist and Rimmel spokesperson, followed the luncheon. Afterwards, the guests made their exit, and mysteriously, so did many of the mini busses.
