At the BizBash West Expo in Pasadena in June, Town & Country Event Rentals showed off its new Vineyard collection, pieces with a rustic, cozy look evocative of an outdoor winery setting—and a welcome contrast to the modern, sleek furniture that has dominated the rental business in the past several years. In the exhibit, a striped canopy hung over a tabletop covered in lacy coverings. Fruits and artichokes served as accent pieces alongside etched glassware under hanging chandeliers. Other rental companies have also been pushing country-style furnishings—think lots of big, rustic farm tables and country-style furnishings. Maybe we’ll see a shabby chic revival this fall?
