Every year, the California Dental Association introduces a new president—and the outgoing president oversees a party that follows the association’s weeklong educational conference. The Beverly Hilton set the stage for this year’s event after the association’s conference at the hotel, and Pacific Partners produced a sleek, James Bond-inspired party at the hotel’s pool and new restaurant, Circa 55. Poolside, guests snacked on popcorn from concession stands and lounged at two furniture vignettes as they watched some of the president’s favorite movies, including Bond flick Tomorrow Never Dies and Caddyshack, which played on an overhead wall throughout the night. As some guests relaxed around the Aqua Star Pool, where they played blackjack, roulette, and interactive video games, others enjoyed the martini bar inside, which featured two ice luges and a wandering James Bond lookalike who served up martinis. Pacific Partners took inspiration for the decor from the hotel’s modern look, setting up chocolate-brown suede linens topped with bright orange tulips, green spider mums, and contemporary wood centerpieces. Around the party space, buffets featured specialties from Circa 55.
