Smoothie Time, the caterer known for bringing chocolate fountains and latte service to events in the Baltimore/Washington area, added a doughnut service to its menu earlier this year. Cake-style doughnuts in two sizes can be prepared on-site and served from a mobile cart or tabletop. The company’s machines produce 1,200 miniature or 160 large doughnuts per hour. Mini treats are served with a choice of cinnamon sugar or powdered sugar (chocolate dipping sauce is extra), and start at $1,100 for as many as 150 guests. Large doughnuts come with chocolate or vanilla frosting and include toppings such as chopped nuts or shredded coconut; pricing starts at $1,500 for as many as 150 guests. Both options are for two hours of service and include two attendants to cook and serve.
