The Emmy Awards’ official after-party is ditching the seated dinner approach this year, instead shifting to a reception-style event at a rooftop downtown. (Read more details here.) To accommodate the change, longtime collaborators Patina Catering have created a menu of more than 35 different small plates, including tabletop snacks, tray-passed hors d'oeuvres, and a variety of small-bite stations. The menu will also include an assortment of vegetarian and vegan items, plus dessert stations.
Between the two Creative Arts Governors Balls held last weekend and the A-list official party after the Emmys on September 17, Patina will be serving a total of 8,300 guests, plus 126,000 small plates. Some other fun numbers: Catering will call for 33,600 golden potato gnocchi, 2,652 pounds of prime flatiron steak, 1,680 pounds of fresh ricotta, and 24,000 pieces of 10 different desserts. With numbers like that, it’s unsurprising that menu planning begins a year in advance.
