Try one of these food trucks and carts for crowd-pleasing fare at events or meeting breaks.
1. Fukuburger’s Fuku truck, founded by two former servers at Tao nightclub and Asian bistro, offers Asian-inspired fare. This includes six different burgers (five beef and one chicken), plus a macaroni salad seasoned with furikake (a dry Japanese condiment meant to be sprinkled on top of rice), and garlic fries flavored with togarashi (a blend of seven Japanese spices). Fukuburger hamburgers are marinated in a mixture of sake, mirin rice wine, and yuzu citrus fruit, and then grilled and brushed with a special glaze before serving. The truck is available for booking for special events. Pricing varies.
2. Whether the season calls for heating up or cooling down a meeting or event, Atomic #7 has it covered, with flavored hot puddings, lattes, hot chocolates, and raw and traditional ice cream. Each serving of ice cream is mixed in front of the guest and frozen with the shop’s atmospheric freezing process, which uses liquid nitrogen and requires only seconds. “It looks like a really cool science experiment,” said spokeswoman Carly Vadnais. Atomic #7’s flavors include salted butter caramel, raspberry mocha, cranberry, chai, cardamom, rum raisin, and fig. The company also can mix custom flavors. The company operates a shop near the Galleria Mall in Henderson, but can bring its mobile carts to meetings and events. Pricing varies.
