A stunning new hotel and a vibrant transportation hub that connects the community with the Greater Phoenix region are the newest developments in the country’s fifth-largest city and top meeting and event destination. These new developments enable the destination to host even more guests for a bespoke luxury experience while providing easier access to the region at large.

NEW UPSCALE HOTEL OPENING

A luxury four-star, four-diamond hotel will open in downtown Phoenix in Fall 2026. The new 236-room property, part of Pacific Hospitality Group’s Meritage Collection, will feature 23,000 square feet of premium meeting and event space, an upscale full-service restaurant and bar, a stunning rooftop bar and pool deck on the 17th floor overlooking the downtown skyline, a luxury spa for hotel guests and locals alike, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an upscale cafĂ©. The dĂ©cor will pay homage to the Sonoran Desert, reflecting images of sun, and wind into the interior spaces. Phx May2025 New Developments1Photo: Courtesy of Visit Phoenix

CENTRAL STATION

It will soon be even more convenient to move about Greater Phoenix. Anchored by the reimagined City of Phoenix central transit hub and located just south of Civic Space Park, Central Station provides an open space for the entire city and will serve as the hub for all things transit in downtown Phoenix. Residents, transit patrons, office employees, and the greater public will be able to easily move from one transportation type to another, socialize, and visit a mix of retail and amenity types.

An estimated 180 light rail trips will pass through the station each day, and travelers also will have access to five different bus routes. All of this adds up to greater and more convenient access for the community and visitors to connect to and travel throughout the city. Central Station features 60,000 square feet of state-of-the-art flexible, creative office space, two levels of underground parking, and 30,000 square feet of divisible retail space.

Aesthetically, Central Station further beautifies downtown Phoenix by incorporating architectural features such as deep overhangs, canopies, a shaded breezeway, desert landscaping, and textured hardscape as well as pedestrian-friendly green spaces and walking paths. Central Station is also on track for LEED Gold certification. Phx May2025 New Developments2Photo: Courtesy of Visit Phoenix
