On July 1, Joie de Vivre unveiled Hotel Maya in Long Beach, next to the Queen Mary. An 11-acre waterfront property that underwent a $20 million renovation, Hotel Maya has 197 guest rooms, as well as dining and entertainment options.
Designed by DPS interiors and Arya architects, the property comprises buildings. The refurbished guest rooms and suites have bay, ocean, and garden views, plus private balconies. The property includes a heated lap pool, a Jacuzzi, a canal with private floating cabanas, waterfront meeting and event spaces, and a fitness center.
Hotel Maya has 20,000 square feet of meeting and event space to accommodate as many as 500. The propertyβs 15 indoor-outdoor event spaces include five meeting rooms and an executive boardroom. Planners may work with the hotel to arrange teambuilding activities such as Segway expeditions and sailing lessons.
The hotel's Fuego restaurant has waterfront views of downtown Long Beach and the adjacent marina, and offers a menu of modern coastal-Latin cuisine with a focus on fresh seafood. Fuego is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and has an expansive patio.
