SECURITY: Self-Expiring Name Tags

E1469disc 2001 1001 Tempbadge 1 152
As security becomes a high priority for event planners, we found a cool way to limit how guests use name tags. TIMEbadges are new self-expiring name tags from TEMPbadge, a company that manufactures security and identification products. Once the badges are activated by removing a middle layer of paper from the sticker, the badges start to expire and slowly turn red. Expiration periods can last a few hours, one day, one week or one month. The badges can help limit how someone uses a conference badge or a building visitor badge, because security can easily identify a person with an all-red badge as someone who should not be there. --Jill Musguire
