Montblanc StarWalker Launch

Luxury goods brand Montblanc debuted its new StarWalker pen with an event at Houston’s Lone Star Flight Museum on June 11. The event, designed internally by Montblanc, had a space exploration theme timed to the 50th anniversary of the first landing on the moon. Guests could enjoy cocktails and food in a pop-up, 21-meter geodesic dome lighted in shades of blue. Inside, the dome projected images of the earth and space.

Luminato

The 13th edition of the Luminato arts festival runs through June 23 in Toronto. A new addition this year is the "House of Mirrors," a traveling exhibition that made its North American debut at Harbourfront Centre’s Lakeside Terrace. The installation invites people to walk through a disorienting, kaleidoscope-like atmosphere that presents reflections from numerous angles. The structure stands more than 12 feet tall and weighs more than 55 tons.

Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference

The Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference took place June 17 to 20 in Minneapolis. Chad Hudson Events designed the after-party, which took place at Aria Minneapolis. The event design was inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, brought to life by a variety of greenery and purple flowers and wall projections of shadows of trees.

Epic Games' 'Fortnite' Booth at E3

E3, the Entertainment Software Association’s video game industry trade show, took place June 11 to 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Fortnite had the show’s largest and most eye-catching booth, taking over a 15,000-square-foot space on the show floor. Booth highlights included the “Boogie Down Stage,” which was wrapped in disco ball mirrors and featured in-game dance performances, trivia game tournaments, and appearances from cosplay characters. GameSpot After-Party at E3

Twitch's E3 After-Party

Live streaming platform Twitch hosted an E3 after-party at the Conga Room at L.A. Live. Produced in-house by Twitch, the purple-hued event featured a chandelier-like installation that displayed the Twitch logo and other graphics. Mom 2.0 Summit

The annual Mom 2.0 Summit took place in April at the JW Marriott in Austin. Summit sponsor Google introduced “Be Internet Awesome,” an online safety and digital citizenship program designed to help teach kids how to navigate the internet in a safe, smart, and positive manner. Rosé Mansion

The second edition of Rosé Mansion kicked off June 1 and runs through September at the Manhattan Mall. One of 14 themed rooms in the experience is the "Fermentation Room," which resembles a science lab and features a giant chalkboard mural that details the fermentation process of wine. For a room inspired by wines found in upstate New York, organizers partnered with artist Nate Baranowski, who painted a 3-D floor image of a pier on a lake in New York. 92nd Street Y Spring Gala

The 92nd Street Y’s annual spring gala took place May 20 at the center’s location on New York’s Upper East Side. A room called Forever Young had a camp theme, with lantern centerpieces, bandana-style napkins, and a starry night backdrop. The event was designed by Bryan Rafanelli of Rafanelli Events.
