So our hopes for Sarah, the event planner on Martha Stewart’s version of The Apprentice, got vanquished last week. When she finally “stepped up”—why does everyone keep saying that cliché phrase, by the way?—to be team Primarius’ project manager, she showed little in the way of creativity or management skills, leading her group to the show’s worst showing yet. (The candidates had to come up with a guerrilla marketing program for a new laundry detergent product.) The loss was so bad that Martha even fired Carrie, Sarah’s second in command, right along with her, and we have to say, after seeing their poor performance and backbiting this week—for heaven’s sake, they made Jim look good—we were happy to see both of them go. Looking at the eight remaining candidates, Marcela is still a favorite, but our money is on Howie or Ryan. What about you? Are you watching? Or are we the only ones? Let us know.
