Spotify's Local Natives Performance

Spotify hosted a concert featuring Los Angeles-based band Local Natives on June 25 at Angels Point at Elysian Park. Event designer Kim Swift, creative director of production studio Magazine Projects, created the event’s environment, which featured a stage surrounded by various wildflowers and greenery, with violet colors inspired by the band’s album Violet Street. The performance hosted 200 fans who streamed the band the most on Spotify.

The Macallan Estate Open House Event

Whiskey brand the Macallan debuted its new spirit, the Macallan Estate, with an interactive event on June 19 at the 40 Riverside Drive townhouse in New York. The event featured a photo booth inspired by barley fields in Scotland, highlighting the barley grown on the brand’s Easter Elchies estate. TH Productions produced the event and the Bosco provided the photo booth.

Wisconsin Cheese held a tasting event on June 20 at Park Avenue Summer
in New York. The cheese company partnered with ShopPR and food stylist Diane Vezza to execute the event, which featured personal-size cheese plates and mini custom cheese boards.

The Museum of Modern Art’s Party in the Garden

The Museum of Modern Art in New York hosted its annual spring fund-raiser, Party in the Garden, on June 4. The layout and design of the party, designed and produced by the museum’s in-house event team led by Tania Abitbol, was inspired by tropical flowers in light shades of lavender, rose pink, cantaloupe, and lime green. Pastel tropical foliage was used on the tables, accented by custom neon Lucite chargers with a lavender Anthurium print. Projections of tropical foliage completed the look throughout the space. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s Annual Butterfly Ball

The Chicago Academy of Sciences / Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s 21st annual Butterfly Ball, held in May at the museum, raised more than $2 million in support of its science education initiatives. More than 650 guests attended the event, which had a colorful, nature-inspired look by HMR Designs. Centerpieces combined greenery, flowers, and faux butterflies. Smithsonian Channel Moon Landing Event

Smitsonian Channel held a 1960s-theme event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on June 12 at Second Floor in New York. The event feature multiple vignettes including a living room with actors portraying a family gathering around the TV to watch the moon landing. The vignette included custom wallpaper and props such as a copy of Life magazine. The network partnered with marketing and event agency Advantage to produce and design the event. HBO hosted an out-of-the-box celebration for season two of popular series Big Little Lies. Held on June 1—the official start of Pride month—the network teamed up with RQ Agency to design a party themed around character Amabella's birthday party. National Geographic's ‘Life Below Zero’ F.Y.C. Event

Nat Geo hosted a for-your-consideration event for several of its shows on June 2 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Designed and produced by the Firm, the daylong gathering included custom activations for each show, including a station where guests could get cryo facials (pictured) for Life Below Zero. Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery’s annual fund-raising event took place June 6 in Toronto.
