The Los Angeles County Museum of Art celebrated its 40th birthday last weekend with a full roster of public events. The four-day schedule began on March 30, with a late-night party at the museum that lasted until 3 AM, with music by DJs Internationalist, Suckapunch, Dub, Medi4, and T-Bird, as well as performances by N'dambi and Cava. Among the film screenings was this year's Oscar Best Picture winner, Crash, courtesy of Lionsgate—and a packed agenda of lectures, performances, and exhibits (not to mention free admission to the museum) until April 2.
