On Sunday, BET Networks and Grey Goose Vodka will host pre-inauguration celebrations in Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, New York, and Washington. According to Derrin Woodhouse, director of integrated marketing at BET, "these [cities] are the biggest advertising markets for BET and [represent] the best retail per capital for Grey Goose in the East Coast region."
Chicago's event will take place at River North nightclub Religion, where organizers expect to see roughly 1,000 attendees who learned of the happening through radio promotions, on-air advertisements on BET, and a BET Web site devoted to the event.
Features of the evening will include silk acrobats, a Grey-Goose sponsored V.I.P. lounge, and Webcasts from the simultaneous celebrations in other cities. A production crew from BET will be on site in each of the markets to film B-roll, which will then be broadcast at BET's inauguration-night ball in Washington.
