MaxPoint, a digital advertising agency, promoted its line of work with a drolly somber activation during New York Advertising Week. On September 23, a procession inspired by a New Orleans–style funeral wound through the streets of Manhattan, causing surprised passersby to whip out their cell phones and take digital snaps. In addition to holding signs with phrases such as "Ink Fades Away" as well as the stunt's official hashtag, #GoodbyePrint, the performers carried red umbrellas, twirled handkerchiefs, and played horns and drums. Barkley Kaplak Agency produced the event.
