On Friday, Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers announced the opening of an office for use by meeting planners.
Located on the same floor as the hotel's 40,000-square-foot ballroom, the space was designed to "serve as command post during conventions," said the Sheraton's general manager, Rick Ueno, in a press release.
Ueno added that the decision to build the office was based on feedback from planners who host destination meetings within the hotel and need "private space outside of their guest rooms" in which to work.
Overlooking the Chicago River and Centennial Fountain—and accordingly dubbed "The Fountain View Room"—the 570-square-foot space offers a boardroom table with seating for 12, a 42-inch HD TV, Internet access, and individual work stations.
