
Georama is a new option for planners who want to check out destinations, venues, entertainment, or other elements for their events without having to travel to see them in person. The company has nearly 200 guides around the world who provide private, customized tours using either a smartphone or a GoPro. Tours are conducted in real time with two-way audio so those watching can ask questions or request a closer look at something. The stream is private, viewable only with an access code, and each tour is also recorded for viewing on demand.

To celebrate the launch of JetBlue's direct flights from New York to Palm Springs, California, the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with the airline on January 7 to give New Yorkers warm-weather-related prizes including an airline ticket—which were sealed in ice blocks. Passersby in Washington Square Park and the Flatiron district's pedestrian plaza were encouraged to use whatever they had to break the ice blocks, which were designed by Ignited and built by Apple Ice.

Chicago’s Field Museum is hosting the exhibition "The Greeks, From Agamemnon to Alexander the Great" through April 17. To promote the exhibit in December, the museum enlisted Illumivation Studios to cover a Chicago train station with a giant Trojan horse. Visitors at the activation were encouraged to Tweet a photo using the hashtag #TheGreeks.Â

As an unusual way to get the attention of busy New Yorkers—and camera-happy tourists—FX put a cozy sweater on wheels in the streets of Manhattan to promote the network premiere of its original series Fargo in 2014. More than a week before Fargo's premiere, FX's sweater-clad double-decker bus toured New York City.
