It was a hauntingly delightful night of who's who and whodunit as the historic Pinecrest Gardens held its inaugural Masquerade and Murder Mystery Ball. On the heels of Halloween, ghostly invitations crafted by Geiger and Chu Design Group circulated through the town while Yocelyn Galiano Gomez, executive director, with the assistance of her staff at Pinecrest Gardens produced and planned the black-tie and masked fund-raiser to benefit the park.
Headlining the entertainment was Glass Productions, a theatrical group that staged the murder mystery. Costumed actors complete with all-too-realistic-looking props interacted with guests during cocktail hour, which featured hors d'oeuvres and libations catered by We're Having a Party. After submitting suspect ballots and strolling through the gardens' winding and fog-filled paths, attendees made their way to beautifully decorated tables, handled by Christina's Party Rentals, under a lighted tent supplied by Raimes Productions. Bud Stop, Citgo Station Flower Shop and Orchids by Jaime donated the floral arrangements, while We're Having a Party continued to whet palettes with two buffets that included carving stations and Italian- and Latin-inspired cuisine. Continuing the entertainment and renewing the energy of the late night dancers was DJ Le Spam and the Spam Allstars, who played funkadelic tunes until midnight.
