On Saturday J.C. Penney's Holiday Giving tour made a stop in Dallas, where the company installed an artificial tobogganing course on Flagpole Hill. Guests entered the 200-foot-long slide through a red gift box with custom flaps built by local production company Mecca and sled down the slick, synthetic carpet-slide from Italy-based Neveplast. At the end of the run, an automatic brake stopped the rafts from sliding further, allowing the organizers to retrieve and transport the crafts back to the hilltop by golf carts.
Produced by Mother New York, the event also saw 1,500 attendees sip on hot chocolate and participate in family-friendly crafts and card-making activities.
