Peachy Keen Event Design Ideas Inspired by Pantone’s Color of the Year 2024

Here’s how to incorporate Peach Fuzz into your events in the new year.

'We love peach for the pop of color it adds to a tabletop. When a Pantone color comes out for the new year, we love to use varying shades of the color. For example, shades of peach and coral pair so well together or serve as a beautiful complement to pinks and blues. Peach is also a great color to work with when there is a neutral color palette involving nudes, beige, and metallic,” said Heather Rouffe, managing partner and director of sales at Atlas Event Rental. Described as a “velvety gentle peach” that’s “softly nestled between pink and orange,” the color “brings belonging, inspires recalibration, and an opportunity for nurturing, conjuring up an air of calm, offering us a space to be, feel, and heal and to flourish from whether spending time with others or taking the time to enjoy a moment by ourselves,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, in a press statement. And after a year of bright, bold shades like Barbie pink, the pastel seems to signal a refresh.

The introduction of Peach Fuzz also marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year program. First introduced by the institute in 1999 with Cerulean Blue, the Pantone Color of the Year aims to capture the global zeitgeist and serves as a cultural touchstone.

While BizBash named classic orange the event color of the summer for 2023, this pale peach hue, which is popular among social events like weddings and showers, can serve as a fresh palette for corporate events as well.

Here are some inspiring ways to incorporate Pantone’s 2024 Color of the Year into your upcoming events...

'I’m a big fan of leaning into a gradient and opting for a monochromatic palette. Peach is the perfect color for this, especially if you’re wanting something a little bolder to pair it with such as burnt sienna or terra cotta. In terms of florals specifically, bleached and dried florals are wonderful for paying homage to Peach Fuzz in a luxe, boho way,' said Eddie Zaratsian of Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle & Design. He added that 'even though peach is a softer, more subtle hue, it can still make for an impactful display in volume and style.'
