New York saw a return to the Modernist looks of the 1920’s and 30’s at two events with obvious motives for period details—all while the Met offered an exhibit of the French Art Deco work of furniture and decorative arts designer Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann.
For the De-Lovely premiere, Wendy Creed Productions worked over the Supper Club by putting the movie’s logo on a marquee outside and filling the stage with a 12-piece orchestra and vintage 30’s music stands.
