To create awareness of Boutique Condos, a new Toronto condominium complex, Mark Reeve, a principal at Urban Capital Property Group, codeveloper of the project, worked with Jane Holland, president of Lewis Carroll Communications, to fashion an attention-getting promotion—a full-size model suite built entirely of ice. Iceman constructed the suite, with nine-foot-tall walls and solid-ice furniture, appliances, and fixtures, in a parking lot at the development site. Screamlab! contributed lighting effects with colours ranging from cool blue to hot pink to make the frozen structure even more eye-catching.For the media launch, Carroll brought in four-time world figure-skating champion Kurt Browning, who laced up his skates and performed jumps and spins on the bed. Browning joked that the routine was his "best performance in bed to date." Daniel et Daniel Catering provided snacks, including fig-pomegranate spread with goat cheese on toasted walnut canap?s. Iceberg Vodka chipped in cocktails, and Inniskillin supplied its eponymous ice wine.
