4. ALT Hotel Toronto Pearson

Groupe Germain Hospitalité opened Ontario’s first ALT Hotel on July 10. The hotel's modern vibe starts in the lobby, with an artwork made up of 80,000 Instagram images submitted by participants from all over the world. The hotel is steps away from the Pearson Airport and has 12 stylish meeting rooms, equipped with 50-inch televisions and projector screens. 1. The Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto

The sparkling Shangri-La Hotel Toronto opens in August. The 14,626-square-foot third floor of the luxury hotel is reserved for events, with four distinct wings that can be combined for larger functions. Each of the eight meeting rooms—all named after Toronto streets and destinations—have floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel also includes a 40-person screening room and a 3,670-square-foot ballroom, which opens onto an outdoor garden terrace overlooking University Avenue.

2. The Trump International Hotel and Tower

The Trump International Hotel and Tower opened in January with 12,000 square-feet of event space. The 3,168 square-foot Grand Salon and the 3,744-square-foot Grand Ballroom, connected via a twisting staircase, are versatile and can each be divided into three rooms for smaller meetings and events. In addition to these spaces, the luxury hotel’s 4,000-square-foot Presidential Suite is available for events and can accommodate up to 60 guests for a reception.

3. Four Seasons Hotel Toronto

The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, scheduled to open in October, will have 17 event spaces on the third and sixth floors of the West building. Aria is the larger of two ballrooms, clocking in at 6,776 square feet with space for 575 guests. The meeting rooms are modern and come equipped with high-tech equipment, including built-in projectors.

5. Glenerin Inn

The historic Glenerin Inn completed two years' worth of renovations and careful restorations in February. Built in 1927, the inn resembles a sprawling manor surrounded by the woods of Sawmill Valley Creek. Five meeting rooms with ravine views are available for groups ranging from eight in the Sun Room to 175 in the Credit Valley Room (pictured). The inn’s four patios are also available for events and meetings, the largest of which can host 120 for a reception.

6. One King West

One King West Hotel and Residence will open a luxury hospitality suite this fall. The 2,500 square-foot suite will accommodate 60 guests, with views of the city and access to a private patio. On the second floor, there will be a private event space that can accommodate 30, boardroom-style. The event space is self-contained and can be rented out separately from the suite or combined.

7. Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites

The Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites emerged from $4 million worth in renovations this month. The central hotel overlooks a ravine and offers 16,000 square feet of meeting space spread over 12 rooms. The largest space, the Commonwealth Ballroom, is available for as many as 900 guests and a new outdoor pool space is available for events, meeting breaks, and barbecues.

8. Hampton Inn and Suites Toronto Airport

Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport completed $1.5 million in renovations this March. With updates to the lobby, guest rooms, and event space, the hotel has a contemporary look. The 504 square-foot Pearson meeting room got a complete makeover, which included updated AV equipment.

9. Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East

Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East completed $6 million in renovations in December. The hotel’s lobby (pictured) and six meeting rooms, including the 3,350-square-foot Centennial Ballroom, were completely modernized. For groups of more than 300 people, the hotel is a three-minute walk to the Toronto Congress Centre.

10. Holiday Inn Toronto Downtown Centre

After $20 million in building renovations, the Hilton Toronto Downtown Centre opened in April. At 2,912 square feet, the Wellesley Room is the largest of nine meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 130 guests.
