As we ramp up for fall, these are some of the most important new event and meeting venues slated to open (or reopen), with options for everything from cocktail receptions and conferences to business dinners and corporate meetings. Here's a preview of the hotels, restaurants, bars, lounges, and other spaces the city will be buzzing about this season.
Marilyn Monroe Cafe

7. The first-ever Marilyn Monroe Cafรฉ will open in Oakville in mid-September. Owned by Authentic Brands Group, which co-purchased the rights to Monroeโs image last year, the cafรฉ will not be filled with memorabilia, but will be a place where the actress would feel comfortable. The space is available for buyout, with room for 43 guests on the main floor, 12 on the mezzanine, and 30 on the patio.

Reds Bistro

4. Top Chef Canada's Ryan Gallagher will lead the kitchen at Reds after the restaurant is rebranded and renovated this fall. By late September, Reds Bistro will emerge as Reds Wine Tavern. The rehaul will include new communal tables, opening up the space and heightening the ceiling by two and a half feet. The restaurantโs two private roomsโone boardroom-style space for 12, the other with room to accommodate 50 standingโwill be redone, as well. Decor accents include wood, leather, and brick.
