Cocktails & Canapes’ recently introduced a roster of new food stations including a Poke Bar featuring fresh caught seafood and house-made Furikake seasoning ($12 per person for a meal-size portion); a Flaming Cotton Candy station with desserts topped with cotton candy that’s then set ablaze ($10 per person); and a Smoking Seafood station (three pieces per person for $13) with fresh seafood set atop preserved moss that’s smoking from below.

Edible Canada curates Canadian-made, small-batch artisanal foods, creating gift baskets and boxes. The latest collection features sets such as the Taste of Canada (pictured), with products from coast to coast such as Newfoundland Salt Co. Sea Salt, Cosman & Webb Organic Maple Syrup, Sea Change Salmon Pâté, and more ($160 for basket, $50 for box). Available at various price points and sizes, the gifts can be customized and co-branded for corporate clients. There's a shipping fee of $15 for British Columbia orders under $100, and for all other Canadian provinces there's a $15 shipping fee.

In October, Culinary Capers Catering unveiled a new winter menu, available until March 31, 2020, that celebrates the area’s cooler season as well as regional ingredients from around British Columbia. With clients requesting more plant-based menu items, executive chef Stewart Boyles created dishes featuring hearty root vegetables, pumpkin, beets, and cauliflower such as cauliflower velouté with curried scallops and fried capers (pictured).

Vancouver Foodie Tours will debut its Authentic Asian Eats Tour in spring 2020. The experience will showcase the Chinese cuisine that the city of Richmond, located just outside Vancouver, is famous for. Home to dumpling shops, noodle stands, dim-sum restaurants, and Chinese bakeries, Richmond is considered to have some of the best Chinese food outside of China. The tour meets in downtown Vancouver and includes transportation to Richmond.
