Culinary Underground School for Home Cooks recently moved to sleek, modern new digs in Southborough. For corporate groups, the cooking school can design three-hour private cooking classes. Owner Lori Leinbach likes to emphasize seasonal, local cuisine, but she and her staff will help groups prepare anything from sushi to fancy cupcakes. And, she says, the hands-on classes are truly hands-on: โIn some classes, the chef really prepares the dish. But we like to get people involved. The [participants are] doing mise en place, theyโre plating, theyโre at the stove, theyโre improving knife skills.โ Since the school has a beer and wine license, classes on food and wine pairings are also an option. The facility can accommodate groups of 12 for hands-on classes and 25 for demo classes. Hands-on classes are priced at $350 for as many as four people, with each additional participant costing $50. For demo classes, the price is $350 for as many as 10 and $25 for each additional person.
