Treat Cupcake Bar, a whimsical, brightly colored shop with a private room for 10, officially opened in Needham earlier this month. Unlike other cupcake bakeries, Treat offers a bar, where guests can choose their cake, frosting, and toppings, creating custom cupcakes. Also available are signature, pre-made options ranging from triple chocolate to Lemon Drop to Almond Joy. Head baker Adie Sprague creates custom treats as well, and will accommodate special flavor and design requests. Treat will deliver to events and in-house meetings within 15 miles of the shop for a $15 delivery fee.
Cupcake-design classes are also available for groups of 5 to 10. Classes run approximately one hour and include 30 minutes of instruction, followed by time for attendees to personalize their dozen cupcakes. Pricing depends on group size and materials, and more information is available by contacting the bakery.
Treat's private room seats 10 people.
