The museum slash theatrical experience Las Vegas Mob Experience celebrated its grand opening with a celebration at the Tropicana, where the name of the game was mobsters everywhere: In addition to a red carpet arrival of family members of some of the most well-known crime bosses—who are consultants on the project—the event also drew actors playing recognizable crime figures. And at the entrance, Mob Experience employees were dressed in gangster-evocative attire, and themed actors throughout the experience asked guests to make certain decisions that in the end determined their fates—or rather, the end of the interactive experience, which can include such simulated fates as a blast from air cannons to playfully mimic the experience of being shot (without the lethal consequences).
