Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Nobu Hospitality recently announced that they signed a letter of intent to develop the first Nobu Hotel, a concept that will integrate a hotel tower with the first Nobu restaurant and lounge on the Las Vegas Strip. “We will bring the D.N.A. of the Nobu brand to life in this venture through the vision of Nobu Matsuhisa, with his fellow longtime partners and friends Robert De Niro and Meir Teper,” said Nobu Hospitality C.E.O. Trevor Horwell in a release.
Under the plan, the interior of the Centurion Tower at Caesars Palace will undergo a multimillion-dollar renovation to create the Nobu Hotel within the resort. The 180-room Nobu Hotel will offer 16 suites and a penthouse with an interior design that makes use of natural materials, along with Nobu’s signature Japanese style. Nobu Hotel guests will have private check-in and room service from Nobu’s culinary team.
The centerpiece of the renovation is the Nobu Restaurant and Lounge. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa's new restaurant and lounge will encompass 9,500 square feet at the base of the Nobu tower, near the existing Appian Way at Caesars Palace.
“Nobu's distinctive brand will bring a new dimension to Caesars Palace and will be designed to attract first-time visitors," said Caesars Palace president Gary Selesner in the release.
The completion of this transaction is subject to conditions, including the approval of the transaction by the board of directors of Caesars Entertainment Corporation and the shareholders of Nobu Hospitality.
