It’s no surprise that 2015’s Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas was a sold out success for the fifth year in a row. More than 134,000 people were in attendance, and the Las Vegas Speedway was bursting with energy so palpable eventgoers couldn’t help but stay awake until the wee hours of the morning.
Known for its elaborately designed stages featuring unique themes, this year’s event featured eight newly decorated stages with a star-studded lineup of more than 200 DJ performances. Stage Seven was appropriately sponsored by 7Up and built to perfection by Gallagher Staging.
The Gallagher Team worked night and day for a week prior to the event building the entire truss structure, which was supported by G-Blocks. In addition to the stage, Gallagher provided the mezzanine, video supports, and plexiglass railings.
Since this was Gallagher Staging's third year at the Electric Daisy Carnival, the team at Gallagher knew that weather has always been a major concern. For people that have never executed an event at the Las Vegas Speedway, wind speeds can reach up to 60 miles per hour, which can be a big hazard if vendors don't prepare accordingly.
Over the years, Gallagher Staging has built a reputation of "safety first" and the revolutionary G-Block is just one example. This patented, award-winning ballast design has revolutionized the staging industry with its fully engineered, multi-functional properties, used for truss grids, truss arches, and dead weight, and it has become the standard in ballast support for indoor and outdoor truss structures.
Over 26 G-Blocks supported Stage Seven's bulletproof structure during winds that reached 24 miles per hour for two out of the three days of the festival. Safety is and always has been Gallagher Staging's number one priority, and the team is dedicated to promoting safe work practices on every job site through every phase of the production process.
