Get ready for autumn events, meetings, group outings, and more: Here’s a preview of the latest ideas for teambuilding activities and gifts in San Diego.

How's this for an unforgettable teambuilding experience: Let a group soar above Mission Bay via jetpack through Jetpack America Mission Bay. Groups can select half- or full-day options, and multiple "Jetlev" packs can be deployed to accommodate groups of as many as 72. You can purchase videos of the experience for your group at a discount as an additional option.

San Diego-based Wine Battles is a tournament-style social wine game that allows groups to learn more about wine while bonding. During a battle, members receive two different bottles of the same varietal of wine. They taste and vote on which should advance to the next round. The activity helps groups learn about new bottles—including many California varieties—and develop their tastes in the name of teambuilding.

As a meeting or event takeaway, SOLO Eyewear's San Diego-made shades are a locally minded gift attendees will really use. For a distinctive brand message, the company will hand-paint logos on a case-by-case basis. The handcrafted sunglasses are made with recycled bamboo, reusing scrap pieces from a flooring company. Plus, for each pair purchased, a pair of reading glasses is donated to people in need, and a portion of the sale goes toward their cataract surgery.

After much anticipation, Hess Brewing Company's new production facility and tasting room officially opened in August. In the tasting room, groups of as many as 150 can arrange for a formal beer tasting experience as a lively activity or meeting break. (It can also be used as a venue without a specified tasting program.)
