In September, Philippe Parodi, a seasoned hotelier with an international pedigree, was made director of sales and marketing for the 17-story Regent Bal Harbour Hotel. Parodi is overseeing sales, marketing, advertising, and communications for the facility, which is part of a $225 million development slated to open in spring 2007. Prior to joining the Regent, he was regional director of marketing for Morgans Hotel Group's Miami properties, the Delano Hotel and Shore Club. Previously, Parodi oversaw sales and marketing for the five-star Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France.
