Opening at the Mary Brickell Village this month, the 8,000-square-foot Rosa Mexicano Miami features executive chef Omar Covarrubias and culinary director Roberto Santibañez teaming up to provide authentic upscale Mexican cuisine. Like the six others in the franchise, this latest one features the signature David Rockwell-designed water wall that contains little plastic divers, as well as "spicy" colors and a lot of Mexican imagery. Some backrests are weaved together, while others are topped with a woven shawl generally worn over the shoulders, and a few of the booths have colorful roses painted on them. Capacity at the restaurant is 150 indoors, 90 in the outside dining and bar areas, and as many as 55 in a private dining room. Corporate users will be happy to note that the dining room has audiovisual capabilities, so it works well for leisurely meetings, corporate luncheons, or private holiday parties. Additionally, the restaurant's two patios provide businesspeople with an additional area for networking.
