State Functions Going Green

Effective January 1, 2008, state agencies and departments will be allowed to hold meetings and conferences only in hotels with a Green Lodging certification. The new law, signed by Gov. Charlie Crist in July, is the latest effort to reduce state energy usage and protect Florida's natural resources.
