The Loews Hotel Miami Beach's new teambuilding activity—called the "Ultimate Dessert Nachos Competition"—has groups give this ubiquitous Mexican appetizer a sweet twist. Beginning with sweet tostadas (tortilla chips dipped in sugar) and churros, teams make salsa using ingredients like mango, kiwi, and pineapple, as well as a dash of Grand Marnier. The teams continue building their platters with mint, chocolate, or dulce de leche sauces, and other sundae-esque toppings. Participants then present their plates to a panel of the hotel's chefs, who award a winner based on presentation, creativity, and taste. Prices to take part in the competition begin at $15 per person.
