Can you recommend venues in Central and South Florida in which to build an event from the ground up?
Raw spaces are great because they provide a blank canvas on which to create any event imaginable. Fantasy of Flight, in Polk City, Florida, offers 85,000 square feet of space that can hold as many as 5,000 guests for casual to formal events. A variety of spaces are available that can host seated or reception-style functions. Choose to host the event at one of two airplane hangars for groups of more than 500 or in the smaller 4,500-square-foot Officer's Club, which can seat 200 or hold as many as 250 for a reception. The venue's Compass Rose Restaurant can also be used as a reception area. Outdoor events can be set up directly on the property's 75,000-square-foot tarmac, which holds about 2,000 for a reception, and vintage aircraft or period decor is available for themed events.
Ice Palace Film Studios in Miami is another cool location. It has 55,000 square feet of indoor space, separated into studios, plus an additional 40,000 square feet outdoors that can be tented for special events or concerts. The venue can hold as many as 10,000 people, depending on which area is rented. Any environment can be re-created at the studio; you can even paint the walls in any color desired. This fall the building on the west side of the Ice Palace property is being converted into the restaurant Karu & Y, which will be able to provide catering.
