The Sunglass Hut, in partnership with Gen Art, celebrated the opening of the sunglass chain's newest store on Lincoln Road and the fifth anniversary of the Fresh Faces in Fashion Miami event with an evening soiree on March 18. Members of the media, models, celebrities, and company representatives crammed into the narrow store-turned-event space for mingling and music.
The celebration, organized by Monica Glass of Gen Art and produced by New Image Productions, included an informal fashion show with models from Front Management showcasing new fashions from the likes of Uli Herzner, Julian Chang, KRELwear, Bogosse, and Maya Swimwear on the makeshift runway, which was made from a row of acrylic cubes arranged down the center of the store. A bar set up at the back of the space, courtesy of CuisineWorks, served up specialty drinks made with Baileys Irish Cream and a variety of Alchemy flavored vodkas.Throughout the night, guests enjoyed a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres, including red snapper ceviche with avocado and acai juice, mini Angus burgers with American cheese and pomegranate sauce on sesame buns, and round ravioli served on whole-grain grissini and topped with Parmesan cheese.
Special celebrity guest DJ Danny Masterson of That 70s Show entertained attendees throughout the night with his own musical compilations as they browsed the top-of-the-line sunglasses on display. All guests received gift certificates to the store before leaving.
