Executives at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County announced on Thursday a partnership with Bacardi USA for the creation of a spirits-themed lounge on the property. The company's first Bombay Sapphire Lounge is scheduled to open in January 2010 on the lower level of the center’s Carnival Arts Tower. The venue is part of a three-year, $300,000 licensing agreement between Bacardi and the Arsht Center.
“Just as the Adrienne Arsht Center continues to evolve as a world-class entertainment venue, our surrounding neighborhood is undergoing a transformation of its own,” said Arsht Center president and C.E.O. M. John Richard in a press release. “The Bombay Sapphire Lounge will advance this trend by providing patrons, area residents, visitors, and the downtown business community with a meeting place in the heart of our city.”
The space will be able to accommodate 150 people total in the bar and patio. Buyouts will be available on a case-by-case basis.
