Last month, French bistro Lemon Twist reopened on Miami Beach’s Normandy Isle, a man-made island west of North Beach, with a new owner, new chef, and a refurbished dining room for 65. Originally opened in 1998, the restaurant was converted into a sports bar in 2006 before closing last May, when restaurateur Alain Suissa purchased the venue.
The 1,800-square-foot space has been redesigned with garnet-colored walls, lace curtains, dim lighting, and a partial tin ceiling. The main dining room includes a 10-seat bar running along the left wall. A communal wooden banquette along the right wall seats another 12, and four-person tables fill the space in between. For receptions, the tables can be cleared to make room for 120 guests. Additionally, a covered sidewalk patio seats 20.
The bistro’s new menu features classic French fare such as caramelized onion soup, beef tartare, and mussels in a white wine reduction.
The venue is available for buyouts and can provide audiovisual equipment.
