For those looking for an alternative way to see South Florida, two new bicycle stores have recently opened near downtown and in Miami Beach, providing hourly or full day rentals for a variety of activity levels.
1. For a motorized bike to travel around Miami with ease, check out the Electric Bicycle Store in Miami Beach. The shop opened in February and has five bike models, which plug into any outlet to charge. Rentals begin at $45 for six hours or $65 per day and include helmet, bike lock, and mounted light. Two weeks' notice is needed for groups of 20 or more. The company can also bring bicycles to your event and give attendees test rides.
2. All4Cycling USA opened earlier this month on Biscayne Boulevard between downtown and midtown Miami. The company offers rentals from that location as well as its partner store in Coconut Grove, American Rider. American Rider has seven brands of bikes in stock that can be rented and delivered to your preferred location for a small fee. Both locations provide groups with easy access to popular entertainment and dining areas like Bayside Marketplace, the Shops at Midtown, Coconut Grove, and Brickell. The bikes rent for $10 an hour for the first three hours, or $35 for 24 hours. American Rider can also provide Harley and scooter rentals and tours for groups of 10 and four, respectively.
