These new and soon-to-open (or reopen) restaurants in Miami and South Florida, with private and semiprivate rooms, will serve as corporate meeting spaces for events including business dinners, presentations, cocktail receptions, and other types of entertaining.
Cocoon Lounge at Tanzy

Constructed of stunning, intertwined Malaysian wood, this private outpost inside Mizner Park’s Tanzy is ideal for cocktail or business gatherings for as many as 50. Semiprivate events can also use the property, which spills into the front patio and has open-space doors for easy entry. A 12-seat communal table is also available for small banquets, corporate lunches, dinners, or special celebrations.

1. Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill

Four years after its initial opening, foodie hotspot Sugarcane Raw Bar Grill revealed its private dining room just last month. Accommodating around 25 guests, the new private space is available for buyout for parties and special occasions. Food options mirror popular listings of the signature restaurant’s Latin-Asian fusion menu.

2. La Gloutonnerie Vintage Kitchen

La Gloutonnerie Vintage Kitchen is a sophisticated French dining option in South Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. The space offers two private 1,100-square-foot dining rooms on the second floor. The north hall seats 40 guests, the south hall seats 50, and both can hold 60 for a standing reception. Event planners can choose from select menus, including a mix of hors d’oeuvres and full-course dinners. The private dining areas also offer state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.

3. Zen Sai at Essex Hotel

This South Beach Asian-inspired restaurant hails in the oasis of the newly opened Essex Hotel. The 800-square-foot patio is an appropriate Zen-like atmosphere welcoming like-minded event curators to its quarters. Welcoming 50 seated guests, the space can also allow for 80 at a standing reception.

4. Fabien’s the Island Bistro

This French bistro is Brickell’s new addition to the cultural culinary scene. With a private, 180-square-foot dining area seating about 20 guests, Fabien’s event space is completely separate from its dining room.

5. Katsuya

One of the signature restaurants inside the upscale South Beach SLS Hotel, Katsuya promises fine dining with an elite vibe. The restaurant’s upstairs Dragon Lounge is a 1,030-square-foot private room, featuring its own bar. With room for a 40-person reception, or 60 cocktail-style, the trendy space is a unique extension of its downstairs Asian haven.

6. Stephane’s

A newly fashionable and trendy spot in Boca Raton, Stephane’s offers more than its eye-catching artsy bar front. A 150-square-foot private room built for a close-knit group of 10 guests is available for any type of small special event.

8. Aijo Brickell

A fresh Asian concept in Brickell, this sushi establishment extends beyond its dining room bounds. Aijo’s private V.I.P. room can seat six guests and measures 20 square feet. The floor is lined with a tatami mat; guests remove their shoes when entering the cozy, dim room. V.I.P. guests are entitled to a 10-course oshuniku menu, which comes along with private butler service.

9. Grille 401

Opening this month, this new Las Olas restaurant will have a private dining room prepared to cater to intimate parties of as many as 12 guests. Also available for rental is the venue’s mezzanine, a semiprivate open room overlooking the restaurant; it can host 60 guests. The space is open to corporate events, gatherings, and charity functions.

10. Florida Cookery

Award-winning local Chef Kris Wessel introduces his new hotel-based outpost this month, nestled in The James Royal Palm Hotel. The indoor-outdoor restaurant welcomes guests to try its fresh, local cuisine, while providing a semiprivate event space for meetings and dining-driven parties. Past the upstairs dining room sits an outdoor terrace that can gather 30 guests at a cluster of six different tables.
