Wondering about that mysterious guy keeping to himself at your event? Shockfish Communications has invented a device for meeting and event-goers that will enable them to find people they're looking for and learn more about the folks around them, according to Meeting News. Shockfish's Spotme product is a Palm Pilot-sized device that can display information about attendees that is collected when they check in. Each attendee gets a Spotme at the door, and can use it to track other guests--and get tracked. If it all sounds a bit odd, don't worry--you've got time to get ready. The device won't be ready for sale in the US until 2002.
