The New York Post reported that Nerve.com was using its fourth birthday party this past Thursday to shoot a pilot for a new HBO show. But what stuck out was the event's reported price tag: $500 million. But Nerve.com/Nerve magazine associate editor Albert Lee posted a response on Jim Romenesko's Media News site, calling the figure "hilarious," and joked, "Every guest is going to go home with diamond earrings, a Mercedes-Benz Unimog, and a gold-gilded issue of Nerve, and at the stroke of midnight, the ghost of Malcolm Forbes will pop out of our birthday cake."
