Museum Loses Painting During Party

A Marc Chagall painting is missing from the Jewish Museum following a party at the museum on Thursday, according to The New York Post. The painting was last seen at 5:45 PM that day; then a party was held from 7 PM to 9 PM, and the next morning the musuem discovered the painting had been stolen. A janitor noticed some sawdust on the floor, and there was no sign of forced entry. A police source told the Post that the painting, worth $1 million, is titled "Study for 'Over Vitebsk.' "
