The new AOL Time Warner headquarters in Columbus Circle is starting to take on some recognizable shape, and will offer a lot of new event space for planners to anticipate. The New York Times reported that the complex will house a 251-room Mandarin Oriental hotel, the new home of Jazz at Lincoln Center (whose Jazz Cafe can be named after a donor willing to drop $8 to $10 million), a 347,000-square-foot shopping center, restaurants including a New York branch of French Laundry and the Jean-Georges Vongerichten steakhouse, a 32,000-square-foot Equinox health club, the CNN and CNNfn studios and luxury condos. The $1.7 billion complex is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2003.
