Events on the Move to Tavern on the Green

Since the abrupt closing of the Russian Tea Room a few weeks ago, LeRoy Adventures, the restaurant's owner, has been busy rebooking events at the Tea Room's sister restaurant, Tavern on the Green. According to Crain's New York, LeRoy owes "more than $750,000 in deposits to 104 tour companies, brides and companies that booked banquets." If these companies aren't interested in transferring their deposits to the famed Central Park eatery, "they will still be in line to their deposits back."
